Lisa Montgomery

Chairman

Lisa has over 30 years of experience in the college counseling and admissions fields, and has guided thousands of students towards achieving their personal and academic goals. She has directed the College Counseling departments at some of the most prestigious independent day schools in the United States and at the American School in London, and has also worked as an admissions officer at the University of Chicago. Lisa is frequently called upon to share her expertise in the college admissions process at conferences in the U.S. and Europe, including ones sponsored by the College Board, the National Association of College Admissions Counsellors, Oxford University, and the Independent Schools Careers Organization. Lisa has also spoken on the topic of “Writing the College Essay” on U.S. National Public Radio. Lisa received her A.B. in Religion from the University of Chicago.

Kristin Dreazen

Senior Consultant

With more than 25 years in admissions and college counseling, Kristin brings a wealth of experience to Edvice. She has worked in admissions for Albion College (MI), Hobart and William Smith Colleges (NY) and New York University. At NYU, Kristin was on the International Admissions team where she was responsible for recruiting students to the Freshman Year in Florence (now the Global Liberal Studies Program). In 2004, she joined the college counseling department at The American School in London (ASL), under the direction of Lisa Montgomery. After nine years at ASL, she rejoined Lisa as a member of the Edvice counseling team. Kristin is a Past President of the International Association for College Admissions Counselling, a member of the National Association for College Admissions Counselling, and is a frequent presenter at their annual conferences. Kristin is a graduate of Gettysburg College with a B.A. in History.

Kyle Strothmann

Senior Consultant

Kyle has nearly 15 years of experience in college admissions. He joins Edvice after working in the admissions offices at Saint Louis University (MO) and Washington University in St. Louis (MO) where he led the global recruitment and selection teams. He also served as a strategic advisor to several institutions including the New York University global network. Kyle has presented on selection and equity in standardized testing for international students at conferences around the world, hosted by the Council of International Schools, EducationUSA, the International Association for College Admission Counseling, and the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC). He is recognised for his leadership with awards from NACAC. Kyle received his M.B.A., a B.A. (Honors) in Political Science and International Studies, and a B.A. (Honors) in Italian and French from Saint Louis University.
